Please read these terms carefully before engaging Saleyards Crane Hire. By requesting or accepting our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Saleyards Crane Hire is a mobile crane hire business operated as a sole trader by Christian [Last Name] (ABN: [YOUR ABN]), trading as Saleyards Crane Hire and The Saleyards, based at 110B Dickson Way, North Stradbroke Island QLD 4183.

2.1 Quotes
All quotes are provided in writing (email or SMS) and are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotes are based on information provided by the client and may be revised if site conditions differ materially from those described.
2.2 Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once we have provided written acceptance and, where required, received a deposit. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
2.3 Minimum Hire Periods
A minimum hire period of four (4) hours applies to all bookings. Travel time to and from site may be charged in addition to the hire period.
3.1 Invoicing
Invoices are issued on completion of work unless a prior arrangement has been agreed in writing. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date.
3.2 Deposit
For larger or multi-day jobs we may require a deposit of up to 30% of the quoted amount prior to mobilisation.
3.3 Overdue Payments
Overdue accounts may attract interest at 2% per month calculated daily. We reserve the right to suspend services for clients with outstanding amounts.
3.4 Accepted Payment Methods
Bank transfer (EFT), cash, or as otherwise agreed. Payment details will appear on your invoice.
4.1 Cancellation by Client
More than 48 hours notice: no charge
24–48 hours notice: 25% of quoted amount
Less than 24 hours notice: 50% of quoted amount
Same day or on-site cancellation: 100% of minimum hire charge
4.2 Cancellation by Saleyards Crane Hire
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a job due to unsafe weather conditions, mechanical issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will provide as much notice as possible and reschedule at the earliest available time. No cancellation fee will be charged to the client in this circumstance.
4.3 Variations
Any variations to the agreed scope of work requested on site will be charged at our standard hourly rate and confirmed in writing where practicable.
The client is responsible for:
Ensuring safe and adequate site access for the crane and operator
Providing accurate information about ground conditions, underground services, overhead hazards, and load specifications
Obtaining all necessary permits, approvals, and council consents prior to the lift
Ensuring the site complies with applicable Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation
Having a competent dogman or rigger on site where required by law or the lift plan
Ensuring all loads presented for lifting are correctly rigged and within safe working limits
Saleyards Crane Hire accepts no liability for delays, damage, or additional costs arising from the client's failure to meet these responsibilities.
All work is carried out in accordance with Queensland Work Health and Safety legislation, the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), applicable Australian Standards (including AS 2550), and Saleyards Crane Hire's own Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
Our operator holds all current Queensland licences required for the operation of a 20-tonne mobile crane. The crane is maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and relevant statutory requirements.
We reserve the right to refuse or halt any lift we consider unsafe without incurring liability for resulting delays or costs.
7.1 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saleyards Crane Hire's liability for any loss or damage arising from the provision of services is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific job in question.
7.2 Exclusion
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of profit, project delays, or damage caused by inaccurate information provided by the client.
7.3 Client Indemnity
The client agrees to indemnify Saleyards Crane Hire against any claim, loss, or damage arising from the client's failure to comply with these terms, provide accurate site information, or meet their obligations under applicable WHS legislation.
Saleyards Crane Hire holds current public liability insurance. Certificates of currency are available on request. The client is responsible for insuring their own property and materials during the lift.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL. Continued engagement of our services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
